GITAI builds robotic systems — including spacecraft platforms, satellite components, and inchworm robots — to perform construction, maintenance, and operational tasks in space autonomously or semi-autonomously.

GITAI has been awarded a contract under the Missile Defense Agency's $151B SHIELD IDIQ program, a JAXA contract for a robotic arm concept study for a crewed pressurized lunar rover, and has deployed a robot aboard the International Space Station.
